Ringaze: Nepali startup becomes Top 5 Finalist in Asia-Pacific of Tech4Democracy Asia

Ringaze, a Nepali startup that specializes in Mobile Engagement Technology with voice-based engagement, a user-friendly dashboard and intelligent reporting has been selected as one of the five finalists at the Tech4Democracy Asia held last week in New Delhi, India – alongside Right2Vote from India (eVoting), SafeToOpen from New Zealand (Cybersecurity), Smile from the Singapore (Financial inclusion), and Suarise from Indonesia (Digital inclusion).

Mobile Engagement Technology for promoting democracy-affirming solutions

During the event, the Founder of Ringaze, Dipesh Regmi, gave a presentation on the innovative Mobile Engagement Technology and how it can be utilized to promote democracy-affirming tech solutions. He highlighted the ease of use of the platform, which allows organizations to engage with large groups of people at once, using voice messages in their own language, and the intelligent reporting feature that provides valuable insights to improve businesses, governance, health, and education in Nepal.

The presentation was well-received by the judges and audience, who were impressed with Ringaze’s commitment to promoting democratic engagement and the right to information in Nepal and beyond. As a result, Ringaze was selected as one of the top 5 finalists in the competition.

The achievement garnered by Ringaze in the Tech4Democracy Asia competition underscores the growing importance of technology in promoting democratic participation and the right to information in Nepal and the wider Asia region. The Ringaze team was proud to have been recognized for their innovative solution.

The competition, organized by the IE Center for the Governance of Change team, in partnership with the U.S. Department of State, Microsoft, Observer Research Foundation, and Woxsen University, attracted dozens of applications from start-ups across the Asia region, aimed to promote democracy-affirming tech solutions that can be used to enhance reach the unreached community, digital inclusion, financial inclusion, political inclusion & cyber security awareness.

Ringaze’s Mobile Engagement Technology allows non-profits, INGOs, private companies and other organizations to engage via voice message, on their simple mobile phones, in their own language to large groups of people at once, using an easy-to-use dashboard and intelligent reporting. The service aims to provide access to information to improve businesses, governance, health and education across Nepal.
